Couldn't get GPS until outside Cowes. strong winds to lower sail in harbour. Gusting 27 apparent. The scrub off at Newport paid dividends with the paddle wheel log reading accurately we just managed 7 kts fairly close hauled in some of the flatter areas before Ryde. The classic Solent chop (although a bit bigger than normal) dropped us down to 4.5 knots as close to the wind as she would go.
Back in her home berth now for a few important jobs (like fixing a mysterious leak) before a few short trips when tides and weather permit.
