Perfect. Out to Cathead for handling under power. Sailed up to Netley. Anchoring. Came off anchor and tacked down Southampton Water. Beam reaching north Channel and a couple of MOBs

After a wonderfully quiet night at anchor off pottery pier we were underway by 0645. A tad late! It was quiet but as we made our way across Poole Bay the wind increased until we dropped reef in main. Tacked (motor sailing) up needles channel and pushed through Hurst at 1010 by which time the tide was already ebbing!!! Into Yarmouth for breakfast at PO41 and off we went to undertake MOB evolutions. By time this was complete it was too late to push in to Newtown so diverted to Lymington town quay where we practised parking. Lunch Boat into haven; fuelled, parked and cleared. Away by 1930

Departed Lymington st 1100hrs with lovely NE breeze F4. Down needles channel and Sahbi (skipper) hoist sail and we romped away at 8 kts! Got into Studland and found eco buoys with enough depth. Just after LW we pulled the spike up and motored into Poole, down Wych channel and anchored off Pottery pier. Hook dug in for the night, snubber rigged ball up! Perfect day

Started early with a bit of passage prep. We also completed a bit of parking practise before departing for Portsmouth. Arrived about 12:30 at The Camber where we tied up alongside The Bridge where we had lunch. Departed 1430 and Sahbi took us back to hamble. Great sail back. Tied up and cleaned boat. Departed about 1730

Sailing day Started with springing off and left Hamble, reefed main and hoist bore away to Netley where we anchored under sail and sailed off. Stuck 2 reef in and bore away to Hythe to pick up buoys under sail all good stuff! Lunch on Buoy, then Graeme did same before sailing away south to Cowes. Little pilotage exercise and into East Cowes where we managed to crunch the boat 😱😢 Tonight we’ll do a night exercise
