Left Hamble Point Marina at 1115 and hoist main at pile no 5. Followed by jib. Still 2 reefs in the main. Stayed at 20kts +. Having practiced line start we bore away for Southampton water and docked in Ocean Village for lunch. After lunch departed and sailed down Southampton Water to Hamble; started with single reef in and tucked second in shortly after (1730)

Windy and fresh. First day with crew bringing the boat from Lymington to Hamble. Gybed up the Solent. Rounded up in the led of castle point where we dropped the second reef in. Tacked up to line before bearing away to cowes where we had lunch and made adjustment. Pottered out of cowes via small boat channel and tacked up to windward ( much better!) then bore away parallel to thorn channel and once in Southampton water did a couple of MOB drills. Before bearing away to Hamble. Sailed in then rounded up and dropped main at no.5. Berthed in C10

A days sail on brand new boat - Hanse 360 Lovely boat. Sailed over to Cowes where we motorsailed into tide and anchored in Osboure Bay. Wind dropped to flat calm and crew had requested a bit of parking practise. Do up Anchor and motored across Bramble bank (where small breeze set in) but since we were almost home kept the iron topsail on and entered river. Berth was a closed berth so entered fairway bows in and transitioned at end to motor astern and enter berth. Each crew in turn then parked. Had one which due to pace being too slow the boat dinged the pontoon. But all managed it in end.

Brisk and cold. NE’ly breeze 15-22kts. Close hauled up to Newtown Creek. Entered leaving wreck (marked) to Starboard and entered Clamekin Lake. Attempted to anchor in hole adjacent to bank on North shore only to find the capstan jammed! Finally laid out anchor scope and stopped for lunch. After break we raised anchor(capstan worked!!!) and we headed out. Opened the job and with tide ebbing whizzed over to Lymington where Paula parked perfectly first time!
