Quick sail back to Marsh Harbour where we met up with the Manns for dinner at Snappas. Leaving from here to fly back home. Wishing James & Jaqueline fair winds and following seas as they finish up their season on Esmeralda in the Abacos.

Beautiful clear sunny day. Short sail to have a beach lunch stop and spend the afternoon before heading into Marsh Harbour tonight. I broke the outhaul with the power winch onroute 🤦🏼‍♀️. Owen & James replacing it now.

Left Aunt Pat’s Bay to anchor near Marsh Harbour in bay protected from North winds. Tried to cross at low tide but had to anchor again for short time to wait for more water. High winds steady, gust up to 32kts. Rain squall moved over us just before arriving in anchorage. Anchorage provided much appreciated break from the wind.

20kts from S, headed to Aunt Pat’s bay where we expected the winds to be changing direction. Anchored and had lunch then took the dinghy to the beach. Walked along sand bar to floating bar. Very windy! Back on the boat at low tide decided to find a more sheltered anchorage as winds expected to stay high all night. Captain James worked hard all day fixing issues with the head. Thanks James!

Beautiful hot day, light winds behind us. Travelling with Elan. Winding way through avoiding shallow sand bars. Anchored off of beach in front of Grabbers beach bar. 😎

Completed trip to Hope Town after tide came up.

Motored towards Hope Town navigating very carefully right to a shallow sand area across from Aunt Pat’s bay where Emeralda decided we should stop for lunch and wait for the tide to come up. Unfortunately she used her keel to hold us for awhile but no damage done as Captain James was proceeding very cautiously. Decided to relax at anchor for a little longer before proceeding in slightly deeper waters. Beautiful spot for lunch!

Great downwind sail with full sails out all day. Swells were big and waves built as day went on. A sporty arrival through the cut into Little Harbour. Overcast and rainy now that we’re at anchor. Nice shelter from south wind here, near beach.

Great day on the water, motor sailed in calm conditions first half of trip. Squalls passing by with a little rain and wind picked up to about 14 kts so we were able to sail for a couple hours. Anchored in a beautiful remote spot.

First day off the dock on Esmeralda with James & Jaqueline! After seeing Laurie and Kevin off to the airport in Nassau we motored to an anchorage close by with our buddy boat élan. Heavy rain that night but lots of fun on board.
