First 6 hours from Freeport extremely rough, once in the shadow of the Berry islands the seas calmed to almost flat, lost my wind shortly after the berry’s The waves pounded water in through the seal on the front hatch, and the dorado vents. Never experienced being covered in crystallized salt!

Sporty sailing today! Great beam reach almost all day. Started off 10-12Kts then wind increased 18-20 with gusts 24kts. Waves were probably 2-4’ then increased to 3-5’ some bigger. We seemed to have a pretty good angle so comfortable most of the time. Only motored in and out of anchorages today. Beautiful sunny hot weather.

Sherry Pickett - Royal Is anchorage is great for wind protection from all directions. Small entrance, a couple docks. One with construction equipment nearby doesn’t seem to be used. Anchor dug in well in sand that stuck to the anchor.
