Today was the first day that laura and Diana and I went out to practice in preparation for the women’s winter invitational in San Diego. We practice tacking jibing and sales trim while the whales converted about including a young humpback whale that actually jumped out of the water. Absolutely perfect condition and we learned a lot, especially the choreography needed to make fast and efficient tax. Dan came along just to help out since our fourth crewmember. Mandy is in San Diego right now.

We also changed the head sale on cutlass to a smaller Genoa to more closely mimic the J 22’s. We’re going to be using in the race. It was a real learning experience, changing out the sail.
