Dinghied through some rough big swell over two miles to Sandy Cay known for good reefs. DAMN were they good!!! Sooo much color and life! Elkhorn, fans, and sponge coral everywhere 🤩 One of the best reefs of this trip! Saw 5 spotted eagle rays, a reef shark, a school of jacks, some trevally, lots of reef fish, and corals galore. Swam for two hours until we were both shivering! Massive 20+ foot high coral heads and healthy elkhorn everywhere. Beautiful! Rough seas so we had the reef to ourselves, visibility was better than expected. Dinghied home in picked up wind, large swell, and cold wetsuits. A worthwhile adventure!!
