Wind 5-10 SW, calm seas. Sunny and hot but sunset came quick after we got out. Out and around Five Finger Island and did a COB drill on the way home with a fender. We could use some more practice on that. SW needs a new COB pole, the top is broken off.

10-15 knots, moderate seas. Sunny until it went behind the mountains, sunset is getting too early. Reefed and un-reefed the main, it was quite gusty. First sail out on Mabuhay since the boat was re-wired. Everything went smoothly.

15-20 knots of wind, heavy sea state, sunny and warm. Sailed out and around Entrance Island. Had an altercation with a fishing boat before heading into Pilot Bay for lunch. BBQ lunch and a swim. Headed back to Nanaimo and saw an orca while dodging the ferries. Needed to spill a lot of wind to keep the boat comfortable, we should rig up a second reefing line.

Thursday night sail out and around Snake Island. Had just enough wind to make it before sunset 5-10 knots, calm seas and overcast. Enough ferry wake to make it interesting. A couple of good tacks and a gybe with a new crew member

5-10 knots, sunny and hot, calm seas Out around five finger island and back, abandoned the race when we had no chance and went a little further to get a bit more of a sail in.

Started out blowing 5-10 from the SE, had a nice broad reach down towards Nanoose. Wind picked up to 20, beat our way home with plenty of tacks. Came home on one reef and a few wraps on the Genoa. Sunny but the breeze was cold

10kts or so of wind, variable direction, moderate/heavy sea state by Nanaimo standards. Sunny. Made good speed most of the sail, sat hove to to watch the snowbirds for a while and then tacked our way back into the harbour. Sailed with dad for the first time since I was a little kid, good fun.

10-12 knots of wind, moderate seas, rain. Got caught in the wind shadow behind Gabriola for a while and saw a pod of orcas while we were becalmed. Followed the orcas a while once we finished the time trial course. Plenty of wind and a great sail.

10ths of wind, sunny, moderate seas. Made 5-6 knots most of the way, got caught in the Gabriola wind shadow for a while. Took Ben out for his first sail.

Wind ~10E, moderate seas, sunshine. Had a good sail, up to 7 knots for a while. Had to keep clear of the Gabriola wind shadow, that made us motor on the way in. Saw a whale watching boat but no whales
