Night sail in E Wind F6, confused seas with 3-4 m waves. Anchoring in Totland Bay for a few hours of sleep to wait for a fair tide through Hurst Narrows.

Night sail in a pitchdark new moon night on a spring tide reaching 9.8 kn SOG at Hurst Point, E F2- NE F3, very good visibility.

SE 20 15-20 knots, showers, good visibility. Pilotage through Inner Swashway into Portsmouth Harbour. More MOB exercises unter sail, sailing onto mooring buoys.

SW F1-2 , doing navigation exercises in the Central Solent. Coming onto a buoy in Southampton Water, into Swanick for the night.

Boat Handling Exercises in Cowes Yacht Haven

Nighttime pilotage up the Western Solent. SW F2. Finding unlit beacons and marks in the dark in the central Solent. Nighttime pilotage into West Cowes.

SW 20-25 knots. Fair weather. MOB exercises under power and sail.

Some boat parking in the Medina River in the morning in F4 westerly. Motorsailing to Hamble River in no wind for lunch. In the afternoon beating up Southampton Water in 20-25 knots of wind from the W for Town Quay Marina for the night.
