Nice wind to start with, then strengthened as we came up to the cape, we decided to go downwind to reef to try this, all went ok until we started to put pressure on the main halyard to tighten up mainsail after reefing. POP! Port deck organiser broke off the deck, luckily no one was injured or any other damage. After ascertaining that we could not sail any further we contacted SW, Mithat and they directed us to go to Cigalek port where we can get help. So into the wind under motor for 2 hours and we were there. Great service, Kivançs friend came out, inspected, part was sent from factory along with longer bolts and within 2.5 hours all was fixed. Bolts were too short for deck organiser to fully screw into aluminum plate bonded into deck. Fixed and away to nearby bay and lovely dinner in restaurant.

Set off at around 0800 and wind was stronger than forecast but expect increased wind speeds near Kos and Bodrum peninsula as the wind is squeezed through south. Had screecher up and we flew along in 2 hours to lovely anchorage on Datca peninsula, one of our favourites. Kids went for a walk up into the gorge then Will went swimming and had to pick him up in the boat as we lost sight of him and winds and chop had picked up. Bianca a little nervous!!! Nice night and clear water.

2nd in Seawind 1170 Regatta! Had to restart and sailed through the fleet, fun day out testing the boat and good to be with other 1170 owners on the water. Fantastic dinner put on by Kivanç and Tangul.

Pretty good conditions, not too Much wind up Chios channel so had a ok passage. Bad sea state up near Kaburun leading in Izmir channel very rough. Sailed at start and end of day nicely. Stopped by a smaller Coast Guard boat in Izmir channel, checked all papers then on their way. At Oasis Marina was asked by Coast guard to provide boats docs again! Tired but good day.

Long day starting in the dark with magic screecher sailing conditions towards Samos straight, we really flew along for several hours then motored thereafter. No real issues except at midday we were stopped by a huge Turkish coast guard cutter 100+ ft in length. They called on radio but was in Turkish so I couldn’t understand. They tried several times to come alongside and for us to tie up with them but unsuccessful. After they bent Siafus stanchions we got upset then they told us to report in when we get to Oasis Marina. We faffed around with them for at least an hour. Anchored back in bitey fly bay all good. Peaceful night.

Good day, nothing untoward and winds not really favourable, sailed a bit, motored a lot!
