Stars & Stripes - St Martin

18 knots of wind & 6’ swells. Amy selected as Team Captain. Raced against True North (Canadian boat) and we won the “race!” They said we did a better/faster job of trimming the sails. After the race I got to spend some time at the helm‼️😃 Great fun and would definitely do it again!

To Galveston with Greg And Elizabeth

Started with a rain storm and good wind. Then the little bit of wind afterwards was mostly on the nose and mostly self generated 🤣 Saw dolphins 🐬 along the way and Galveston is FULL of jellyfish!🪼 every square foot!

LBYC Summer Race 2 & 3

5-10 mph winds, great day for the Spinnaker! Crew: Amy Wes Race 1 - 1 lap close race to first turn and then we put up the spinnaker. Race 2 - 2 laps. Much better start and we were way ahead at the first turn. There was no way the other J22 could catch us.

TX200 Day 6! Finally Good Winds

Conditions were PERFECT finally‼️ We were able to sail through Port O’Conner without tacking at all! Then it was all down wind wing&wing😁 We sailed straight into the boat ramp and were greeted by Guy and Beth with drinks 🍺

TX200 Day 5 The SUCK!

Winds light at start and 12 in the afternoon. STRAIGHT down the ICW‼️ We were tacking all day long (166 tacks) and playing Leap Frog with barges 😔. The motor was broken and of no use when we needed it the most‼️ Only saw one other TX200 boat and they sailed/rowed past us 🤣 We camped at the Military Cut that leads out to Army Hole.

Texas 200 Day 4

Light winds in the morning. Tacking and dodging barges up the ICW. Winds picked up and made for good sailing. Crossed the San Antonio Bay in the evening but it got dark for the last third! Barge kept us lite up and right behind us! Crossing in the dark could have been very bad in hindsight. Spent the night on the side of the ICW.
