Wind just wrong all day and so it was a beatfest that took hours. Reefing and unreefing against the tide in a boat that doesn’t do great to windward. Never mind was fun, but a long day.

Not bad motor sail . Needed juice to keep the batteries topped up whilst my cool box kept my ciders cold. Was a bit variable at times but all in all a good run. Got to The Skerries about 40 mins before slack water and it was still fun!

Uneventful really, motored all the way to charge the battery. Wind a bit strong to attempt the sail.

Simple enough and plenty of water even an hour before supposed safe start time

Good sail with the wind on the quarter all the way. Picked up to a 5 just before going in to Salcombe which made it fun, surfing in!

Nice enough, took a trip round the Sound and anchored for lunch to watch the Cawsand gig festival. Good sail before the rain comes in.

Nice morning, got past Dandy hole motoring and put up the main, then almost immediately a front went through with 35kts gust and torrential rain. Stopped at SSC to get the main down and then motored home.

We’re in a bit of a hurry to get to the Eliot Arns before the band stopped playing at 7 so motored and sailed the way up the Lynher
