Grew up sailing a 30 foot sailboat on the Chesapeake. Moved to Cape Cod in 2003 where we’ve had a series of motorboats. Retired in 2023 and found sailing again by attending Offshore Sailing School in Fall of 2023 to obtain charter certifications. In 2024 and 2025 I was able to crew on repositioning cruises on a Knysna 500, chartered an Excess 12, crewed on the repositioning on a Vision 440 and finally purchased SV Full Circle, an Excess 14 at the 2025 Annapolis show!

Exciting trip with a night of 50kt gusts off of Cape Hatteras. We motored into wind just to stay in place through the night until the winds calmed down in the morning. After the storm we got to see pods of dolphins several times, a huge shark and a nice sea turtle. We were ready to spend the night at the docks in Charleston by the time we arrived.

Mostly calm winds with a few stretches of good downwind sailing. Once in the Delaware Bay we had a good run motor sailing. All to beat the pending storm winds heading up the coast. Fantastic boat and crew. Chesapeake City is a gem!
