Skipper of the day training with one my mentors. Wind was decent for a while and we sailed close reach out chasing the other Oasis boat. When they tacked west, we later jibed to a beam reach heading toward Newport. My mentor randomly threw a cushion off to test me and after a first attempt under sail where we got very close to the MOB, I went back to it with engine. On the way back, I stopped twice to pick plastic in the ocean. One time I approached it head to wind, the other one reversing and using prop walk to help me. The wind lightened and one of our crew got sea sick so we motored back home and got back slightly earlier than normal.
