Started off with frosty docks in thunderbolt Georgia this morning. Now we are sitting at anchor in the sunshine and 55°. Will be heading out into the Atlantic tomorrow for our next hop down the coast.

We set out early because we were worried about high winds causing rough seas but we had an easy journey up to a beautiful anchorage. Even if it’s cold, looking out over the open water today I remembered how very many days I had to look longingly out at the water while we were stuck on the hard or at dock and I am SO grateful to be making progress South.

What a perfect day for a relaxing sail! Celebrated our one year anniversary aboard Iris. Great visibility, warm sunshine, and just enough breeze to keep us going! I'm a lucky Skipper to have such an amazing crew!
