Excellent visibility. Could clearly see Catalina and Coronado's, Dana Point to UTC. Wind was strong, little wind chop. Sunny and warm. Several sailboats on the water. Sailed using just the main on the way out, and the main and the jib on the way back. Got back in half the time it took to get out.

Wonderful conditions: mild temperature with wind building up to 14-15 knots, 4-6 ft waves. Gorgeous north wind, we coasted on a broad reach then upwind back toward Newport. Along the way we did MOB drill and with such strong wind it was a challenge slowing down the boat. Sailed up the harbor which was busy surprisingly. Fan docked the boat

The chart plotter was powering down if the engine was not running, need to check wiring. Difficulty tacking solo today. Auto pilot quit working which made it slightly difficult to lower the sails, but I did it. Brought it into the slip no problem. The slip is East West, wind out of the Southwest. I tied the starboard spring line first. It might have been better to tie the starboard quarter first. The wind started blowing me out of the slip. All in all a good sail and learned something too. Oh dolphins swimming by the boat, that was way cool!
