I grew up sailing with my family in New England,mostly on Long Island Sound. We owned 3 different sail boats from 22’ to 39’. I learned the basics of sailing and became very “comfortable” on boats. At 20 I moved to Colorado and no more sailing. In 2018 I started sailing again. In 2020 I started racing. In 2022 we bought our cruising boat.

Motored to KKMI in Sausalito to have rudder bearings inspected, decided to sail more and see if they wear in. Motored to Oakland Yacht Club. We will leave Stella here while we travel back to Colorado for 9 days.

We were very glad we stayed at Drake's Bay instead of going in the San Francisco and arriving after midnight. motored for the first 2 hours and then had a very nice sail into San Francisco Bay. Started as a close-hold sailed and turned into a deep run, 12 to 14 knots of breeze. Lots of squeaking from the upper running bearing and the helm is hard to turn when loaded.
