All in all very good passage. The first three days was fast down wind sailing in good conditions with a moderate swell, not too horribly rolly. Then just like that the wind shut off and we had the motor for about 10 hours through the night. Late morning the next day the wind filled in as predicted and it was forward of the beam, close reaching in a very moderate sea state. That night the wind got light but we were able to keep the sails full and sail very slowly, the sea was very calm and it was beautiful out. The wind died in the early morning hours and we had to motor until early afternoon on the final day. The wind filled in from behind and we were able to sail for about 6 hours before it got too late and we finished the passage by motoring. Anchored around midnight. We were very lucky to have a full moon and clear skies for just about the entire trip. Fishing was disappointing, we caught several skipjacks the first day out and threw them all back. After that we did not catch anything. We did have some boobies hitchhiking, I like having the boobies on board but I don't like cleaning up after them!

Motored out to the anchorage to visit Greg and Kas on Oasis and to retrieve parts brought back from LA for me before heading to Zihuatanejo.

Nice downwind sail to the channel entrance then we motored the channel. Nice to be on the dock.

Motored on over to visit with Kaz on Oasis.

Motored a very short distance to change anchorages and visit Kevin and Melissa on Dark Star.

Wind filled in and we were able to sail about 2/3rds of the way on a beam reach with about 10 knots of breeze. A little rolly, but overall real nice sailing.

Great sailing! Wing on wing, winds 14-24 with gusts close to 30. Sustained 9 knots average for 2 hours. Top speed of 10.7 knots. In the San Jose Channel the waves squared up with the wind and the boat was so steady, some of the best sailing ever.

Motored in calm conditions. A little rolly.

Another nice,easy sail. Downwind in light conditions.

Nice sailing in mild conditions, wind just forward of the beam.
