US Federal Communications CommissionBeautiful day. Kinda chilly at the end and the winds died, but pretty much an awesome day of sailing (no such thing as a bad day on the water). Soundtrack for today’s sail was Ozark Mountain Daredevils.

Just a beautiful day on my favorite “not mine” boat. Winds were light, but conditions couldn’t have been better. Uncle Pete and I have had a love affair for over a decade, and until I had my own boat, I sailed him exclusively. In those early years I didn’t have a summer job and it wasn’t unusual for me to be out on him 5-7 days of the week. There have been some days when my wife has told me “You’re being an ass. Go sail Uncle Pete and don’t come back until you’ve had an attitude adjustment.” And it worked every time. Life is busy, but I still sail him on occasion, and I make it a point to sail him every year on my birthday.
