Along the way, we’ll pass the dramatic cliffs and secluded bays of the Jurassic Coast before exploring the characterful harbours and beautiful sailing waters of the West Country. With exhilarating passages, breathtaking scenery and welcoming ports en route, this is far more than a voyage—it’s a true sailing adventure, culminating among the crystal-clear waters, white-sand beaches and unspoilt islands of the Scillies.
Sailing down the South West coast is always a great adventure. Join this well equipped yacht and explore some of the most beautiful bits of English coastline.
You will start at Gosport Marina which has almost immediate access into the Solent and is very easy to reach by road or public transport
A good stop off either on the way to the Scilly Isles or the way back. A bustling town with many bars and restaurants. A fabulous beach which when visited this year (2006) still had a Punch & Judy show and donkeys to name but a few of the very English beach attractions.
Both make for a great stopping point if required. The entrance to the river Dart is quite stunning and both are very picturesque towns to take a breather from a long passage.
Again a great little town on the south coast, chance to take a rest if you make Falmouth in a oner from Gosport before you head round The Lizard to the Isles of Scilly.
With good weather and favourable winds we should reach the Scilly Isles. This makes for some interesting navigation and some lovely islands to visit. The flora and fauna on the islands is fabulous due to the climate experienced. There are very few cars on Tresco and I noticed last time I was there the number plates were basically people's names. Definitely give the hand line a go if you like fish and are anchored off Tresco.

Our Adventure Cruises are a great way to build some miles whilst sailing in some fantastic waters, there will be opportunties to skipper legs if you would like and to do some interesting pilotage. Alternatively you could just come along for the ride, relax, take in the sun and the views and get a bit of sailing under your belt. Trip costs include all food on board, mooring fees, diesel and use of waterproofs.
