The winds were out of the north. We sailed on a close haul tackling all the way up the Chesapeake. The winds in the afternoon were gusting to 25 plus and the forecast was calling for worsening conditions. We decided to tuck into Fishing Bay. It was really calm in there and anchoring was easy. Beautiful sunset. We ended up staying the next day as well.

Light winds most of the way. To Grand Isle. A few hours after leave GI wind were 6 kts when vessel encountered a microburst. In less than 1 minute with had increased to 38 kts. Vessel heeled over about 45 degs. Before get turned up wind and get sail in. Thunderstorm on and off the rest of the day and night before returning to light winds the next day.
