Intended to go to La Palma but the wind was coming directly fro N. also after sailing 10 miles towards La Gomera. So we decided to sail to La Gomera. The first 3rd of the trip we sailed with 1 reef in the main , 40grad to wind and saw wind speed of max 20 knots True. afterwards the wind died out slowly so we motored for about 1h. Afterwards the wind came suprisingly from S and we made good speed with wind from 120 , full sails. within 15 miles of Valle Gran Rey, the wind died out, we motored for about 30 min and then got wind from N again. Close haul (40 degrees to wind), full sails. it slowly picked up and 10 miles from our destination we were in , 16- 20 knots wind true, with max 23 apparent and 7.8 knots top SOG. 2 mile left and the wind went down to 12 true. half a milw feom the bay it died out. busy anchorage (9-10 boats), with 3m swell, in no wind. boats in all directions. anchored in 15m depth, all chain out. great hold.

good sailing day. less than 30 min engine time in total. After refueling (full tanks) at Amarilla, we directly opened the Genua and with 10-12 knots of true wind we were making 4-5 knotts of speed. we tried to avoid the confused area around the lighthouse but even 1.5 miles out we did end up in the "no wind a confused sea" area. we started the engines. after crossing the ferry route we hoisted the sails on starboard and made our way to san Juan. Nearby Costa Adeje the wind direction alloed us to get the Genaker out (Genua in) on Starboard. At El Puertito the wind direction changed and started coming from the Starboard so we changed the Genaker on the Port. Made up to 6.5 knots of Speed in 12 true wind from 170.

we started with the engine for about 5 hours. afterwards the wind picked up and we had a nice sail, with comfortable 1-2 m waves from stern. max speed 7.4 kn in 15 kn true wind. 15 miles form our anchor place in Los Abrigos we were shortly greeted by a few dolphins hunting. A lovely sail

South wind 8-15 knots apparent, with 2.5m - 2.8m swell from NW. 0.5 miles before Tazacorte 16 knots NW apparent. averagee speed 6.2 knots; max 8 knots. start 8:20. arrived at 17:00. overtook Monohull Eden (DE) after about 1/3 of the trip. they had left Estaca before us. anchored on second attempt; gave up on the first try because of funky boat movement (boat would not turn in the wind) and after local motorboat skipper warned of high waves and recommended to move deeper towards the marina. callled rhe marina on channel 9 to ask for a mooring for a night: they reported they are complete, so we took the advice and anchored closer towards the marina.
