Set out once and turned back almost immediately as vis was shocking Tried again an hour later and whilst not perfect was at least safe. Wind up and down with lumpy seas. Took N Passage to Solent, anchored in a breezy Newtown Creek. The new Rocna is excellent! I couldn't have sat here with confidence before

Was thinking Weymouth but got across Lyme bay in 7 hours so carried on to Swanage and picked up a SSC mooring. They ask a £15 donation

Wind up and down but constantly from dead astern so resorted to some motor sailing! Enormous waves, though; was best not to look behind.....! Pretty windy in harbour too
