The RYAGood wind on Friday that died and then became a 20 knot squall on the nose. On the return on Sunday good sailing in 10 - 18 knot winds close hauled pushing east toward Budleigh Salterton and then motored across to the fairway buoy

Wind was 15 knots to top gust of 21 knots. Sailed from Tor Bay just outside the marina to Exmouth safe water mark. Got good speed and learned more about the way Pendragon performs in higher wind conditions. Sea state was slight all the way and even saw a couple of Dolphins briefly. Definitely one of the best yet.

Lovely weather with sun and variable wind. So it was slow at times with speeds below 2 knots! However the wind increased and we sailed all the way from Exmouth safe water mark to Tor Bay just outside the marina entrance

Rough seas especially leaving the Dart! Wind around 18-20 knts with channel tide against us and the wind from the SW creating a following sea that pushed us along but constantly needed correcting! Good bright and sunny weather with no rain

Early evening and rather overcast and still. Wind on the nose so had to motor to Torquay.

As Derek has said, variable winds, slow on the way south and then winds picked up on the way back but pretty well on the nose so plenty of tacking required! A long race, but we achieved the finish under sail. For me a huge learning experience on using a cruising chute, trimming sails, dealing with variable conditions and thinking our way around the course. Great to see so many other boats taking part and how they approached the race. Thank you again, Derek for sharing your experience with me.

Setting off home in the company of Seahorse from Dartmouth. Sailed for a while off Dartmouth but the wind was very gentle and we had to get going! At this point Seahorse’s engine started misbehaving! So no other choice than to tow from just off Dartmouth to home, negotiating a dragon boat race off Torquay and the Exmouth approaches. A magnificent manoeuvre by our helm, Victoria towing Seahorse onto her mooring and getting straight onto ours in on go!

Another very calm, hot day cruising off berry head and meeting up with Seahorse to go to Dittisham. Saw Dolphins several time and made a good passage up the Dart. Moored and rafted at Dittisham for the night.

From Exe to Brixham, very flat calm sea. Little wind so motor sailed all the way. Visibility reduced as the journey wore on but then brightened a little in Tor Bay where we saw the local pod of Dolphins! We hoped to stop in Fishcombe cove but all the moorings were occupied, so kept on to the Marina.
