Cruising Association Of South AfricaRound the island race started with 51 boats competing. Wind was 15kn NW at start and backing to W and increased to 20kn during race. We came 14th and strugled a bit to maintain speed with a brand new main that we are not used to. We used a jennaker for the leg to the island and a no1to round the island and for the leg back. I think we would have done better with the no2.
