Round the island race started with 51 boats competing. Wind was 15kn NW at start and backing to W and increased to 20kn during race. We came 14th and strugled a bit to maintain speed with a brand new main that we are not used to. We used a jennaker for the leg to the island and a no1to round the island and for the leg back. I think we would have done better with the no2.

Unpleasant sea conditions with 2m swell. Wind 10kt headon so we decided to motor-sail.

Wind was 10-15kn. Sea swell 1,5m. We sailed all the way to Dassen Island with an asymetrical headsail. Win class B. I was only present as an observer because it was a double handed race.

First in class c non-spinnaker

Very little wind with areas no wind at all. Most yachts retired from the race. We motored all the way from the island back to port.

We won the race overall! Great sailing with wind a 5-7 kt easterly at start and later changing to nw. Sea flat with a ground swell of 2,5m.

Typical stormy Cape Town winter weather with rain squals and wind gusting 20 kn. Sea swell 3,5m.

Sailing in cat 80-90 with Jan (80) at the Helm. wind 15kn, flat sea and nice warm weather. First in the category.

First in class B doublehanded race. Wind 12 kt NW, flat seas.

Flat seas and no wind. Motorsail to Dassen island, overnight on anchor and proceed to Cape Town following day. Still no wind.
