Trip sailing around St. Vincent and the Grenadines with two boats with members of the humber bay sailing centre. Our boat was a Beneteau 50 first, while the second boat was 43 foot. The weather was generally sunny with 10-15 knots winds gusting to 20kn. We hit a top speed of 10 knots! We anchored in protected anchorages the entire trip with the most memorable being our anchorage in Tobago Keys behind a protected reef. The most challenging part of the journey was the first day where our main sail tore soon after raising it. We turned back and had it fixed within a few hours. This meant that we left late around 3pm, which meant that we sailed through sunset and when we reached our destination anchorage it was night. We used navigational lights in the harbour to guide us in and when we got close enough, a local anchorage guide helped us to a morning ball.
