very fast return home. perfect reaching angle for Thistle and 15-20kts with very small sea state.

this was a spirited sail. wind up to 29kts and sea around 3.5m and breaking on the beam. lots of water over the bow. both other crew got seasick.

This was our final leg in our circumnavigation of the north island of NZ. We left Whitianga in Jan this year heading off on our adventure. the conditions were flat with zero wind, motoring the whole way. We saw a a whale just of to our starboard side just a we were approaching our finish line which was really special!

Fantastic conditions in all. almost saw a rocket launch from Mahia Pen but it was canceled last minute. Got the expected extra breeze at both capes and also part way through BOP.

left wellington at midnight to calm conditions. motor sailed most of the way as the wind was very light and on the nose most of the way. sea was a little rolley and we had a few sick crew but nothing too extreme.

very light wind for 2/3 of the passage so we were motor sailing. then the breeze finally filled in to about 12kts and we got the tidal current down the south west coast and we're flying along at about 9kts. Entering Wellington Harbor was breezy at 25kts on the nose so we motored the rest of the way to seaview marina.

Beautiful day. Motored all the way. stopped in a few spots to try fishing, caught a couple of Blue Cod.

Very calm conditions, beautiful day and we mainly motorsailed after rounding the north end of D'urville Island.
