very light wind for 2/3 of the passage so we were motor sailing. then the breeze finally filled in to about 12kts and we got the tidal current down the south west coast and we're flying along at about 9kts. Entering Wellington Harbor was breezy at 25kts on the nose so we motored the rest of the way to seaview marina.

Beautiful day. Motored all the way. stopped in a few spots to try fishing, caught a couple of Blue Cod.

Very calm conditions, beautiful day and we mainly motorsailed after rounding the north end of D'urville Island.

it was what we are finding to be fairly typical in this area, very low winds in the morning and breeze lifting suddenly at some point in the afternoon. the forcast was for 12+kts from midday and building to 18kts. in reality, it was 5kts until about 230pm and then 18kts all at once. once the wind set in we had up to 2m choppy sea and we were boosting at 10-11kts boat speed on a reach. good fun!

No wind, beautiful sunny day and we were motoring the entire way. caught x3 Kahawhai on the way up.

Epic first Bluewater sailing trip on the mighty SV Thistle. we had all the conditions on this sail, doldrums for x2 days then 45kt winds crossing the cook straight! epic times with good friends.

nice sail in 15kts south easterly wind. Sea state was much bigger than forcast worth some swells up to 4m!

beautiful sail north in light breeze, reaching all the way until the turn into the harbor where we gull winged in.

light 8-10kts close haul sailing with the motor on the whole way. Calm seas and sunshine.

Fantastic sail in light conditions with "Wild Blue" to the mokes for a night. stunning Anchorage at the west end of the Island.
