Marfa to San Ġiljan, Malta
Beautiful sailing on a beam reach, winds 14-17 and 80-110TWA most of the passage. Swell started on our nose but swung to the south behind us. Liz did not feel well the entire passage which was discouraging. Dust was bad, like driving in LA smog and when we got to where we were going we saw how dirty our boat was from it. At 6am winds swung around more on the nose and got light so we had engine on for about an hour from 8-9

Sailed with reacher on the way out, and motored back. Had Tony and Shannon join us

Strait Of Sicilia to Monastir, Tunisia
Timed this crossing perfectly leaving about 18hrs after a big storm blew through wrecking some boats in the Marina. Pushed off at 445 and got the sails up and set by 515 before it got dark. We never saw more than 20kts TWA and never went below 6kts. We put a total of 8.4 total hoirs between both engines for the crossing. Started off sailing deep downwind at 150, that lasted most of the night in winds typically 13-18kts. Morning brought some light winds under 7kts so we ran on an engine, set fishing pole and caught a bluefin within 30 mins. Partially accidentally let it escape and got lucky and caught a Dorado just under 20lbs not more than 30 mins later. Afternoon saw us use the gennaker for a couple of hours into the night around 10pm when we finally took it down because we were getting headed. Sail through the night was mostly at 45 - 66AWAn. Bits of light wind but mostly 11 - 13kts. Just after sunrise the wind came up to 14 - 15 and we started to cook eating up the miles the last 30nm avg 7+... Tunisia Navy called to inquire about what we were doing Swell was mostly less than a meter started at just over 1 m and was following seas. When we rounded Cap Bon we started to get a se swell, not fun slamming into it.

Pretty nice sail considering it was an upwind slog. Left at 7am to get ahead of the higher winds and have nice sailing till noon with full main and jib. Started seeing TWS gusts to mid 20s so AWS was pushing 30 and hence time to reef. We managed to reef quickly and mark the lines. Uneventful and easy arrival into Marina St Elmo

Notteri to Sant'Elia, Italy
Left early, around 7am and motorsailed with the jib down to the anchorage. Nice conditions overall and we arrived early enough to take advantage of a hike and some beach time

Cala Sinzias to Notteri, Italy
Got under way just after 8, motored for the first 20 mins and then got main and jib out in 4kts breeze. Saw the windline ahead of us and white caps and within an hr of leaving had full on wind. It went from 4ktd to 20kts in under 4mins and it continued to build. Saw tws gusts to 28 and it was up and down all day with 30+ deg wind shifts. Made for a fast passage but was stressful under full main and jib deciding if we should reef. I hand steered for an hour or so through the worst of it

Spiaggia della Marina di Tertenia to Cala Sinzias, Italy
Nice sail, got main up right outside the harbor, we then headed down the coast with jib at first making 4-5 kts. After an hour of being lazy we pulled up the gennaker and had some lovely sailing. Wind died about 2nm from anchorage so we motorsailed in and took sails down. No issue anchoring and had a quiet night which was great.
