What is SailTies?
SailTies is the modern version of a sailor's paper logbook. We are the only platform where you can capture all your voyages and sailing qualifications, to create a full sailor CV! As well as a CV, you can create rich memories of voyages by adding photos and logs to the map and even collaborate with the other crew aboard.

What happens when I link to Halcyon Yachts?
When you link your SailTies account to Halcyon Yachts, your profile will appear in their CV download tool. This allows them export your SailTies Sailor CV PDF document, with a Halcyon Yachts logo on it, to send to their customers. Your SailTies CV includes photos of your qualifications, so make sure you are happy for these to be sent to Halcyon before approving the link.
How much of my data can Halcyon Yachts see?
When you link your SailTies account to Halcyon Yachts, your profile will show up in their CV download tool, including your name, photo and location. If they export your CV, they will have access to the same Sailor CV PDF document that you can export from the SailTies app. This includes your sailor stats, a list of your qualifications, your qualification photos, your longest voyages & your most recent voyages. We do not share your email address with any third parties, including Halcyon Yachts.
How do I unlink my SailTies account from Halcyon Yachts?
Just email hello@sailties.net to request that we unlink your account from Halcyon Yachts. You can also find a 'Contact SailTies' option from the My Sailing tab in the app.
How do I add my past history to SailTies to create a CV?
There are 4 ways to add sailing to your SailTies profile. Recording via GPS in the app, importing a GPX file, drawing manually on a map, and filling out a form (which can also be used for bulk entries). Your stats are generated automatically from these voyages and added to your Sailor CV!
How much does SailTies cost?
SailTies is completely free! SailTies Plus is coming out soon, which will be completely optional and provide extra cool features.
Who makes SailTies?
SailTies is created by two UK sailors, Chris and Tom. We are a designer and developer, who previously worked at Facebook and Cookpad, but our passion for sailing led to us creating SailTies. We are a small, lean team and we are working tirelessly to make the best app for sailors.
