Departed Palm Beach after spending one night at anchor, and making repairs to starboard engine. sailing conditions were good in the morning, although we did encounter big swells and high sea in the gulf stream. later into the afternoon and evening conditions deteriorated with the passage of a frontal boundary as we approached the inlet to the St. John's river. it was slow going up the river, tide was falling with the full moon. We anchored in a shallow tidal basin just a short distance from the marina and waited for the tide to come back in and then arrived at our destination.

Sea state was very decent from our departure and passage thru the Florida straits, motorsailing the entirety of the daytime hours. Just after twilight, starboard engine overheated and was shut down.
