Started to sail on a Sonnet dinghy in 2010, soon after completed the Cape2Rio race (22days) in a vessel designed by Bruce Farr in 1969. That was the “baptism of fire”. Now racing a Pacer 380 designed by Simon Voigt built in Cape Town. Lots of fun racing around the cans, regattas in the Western Cape. More recently started Short Handed racing - medium and long distance racing organised by South Africa Short Handed Sailing Association (races organised out of Cape Town’s Royal Cape Yacht Club.

Champagne sailing conditions. Max wind speed 10 knots. Tactical error, started 2 minutes late. However, good recovery and scored a bullet!!
