Endeavour 5

Good winds between 20 and 25 kts. Very choppy sea with wind against tide, I found it quite hard to steer often swinging 30° off course. Got better at predicting the waves after a while. Started on a beam reach before moving more onto a broad reach / training run. Direct route would have been down wind, but with sea state we would have been risking gybes.

Lovely sunny day on the water. Not to much wind so was a great opportunity to learn how to pole out the mainsail 😃

Endeavour 2

Wow what an adventure! Really long day fitting against the tide and then having to tack into the wind around a windward farm. Great night sailing practice and pilotage down the river to the marina.

Endeavour day 1

Light winds against tide generating swell. Ran with sails intermittently dropping them when the wind slackened. I took Endeavour out of dock, light winds blowing us onto the dock. Used a windward bow line rigged to slip to keep the bow out and reverse gear for the stern. Martin and I did watch, two hours on, two off. Created night pilotage plan for Tréguier and navigated us in.
