Headed to the west side of the island where the conditions are much calmer and in many cases no wind. We did blind pilotage, crossings of channels and night motoring, sadly even when we had wind we didn’t get to use it, even with good moon light and proximity to shore. Damien, our instructor managed to reverse the boat hard while letting out the chain loosing the anchor, leading him to strip to his pants and attempt to free dive 10 meters to retrieve it, which naturally didn’t happen. A gas alarm from the tank being left on after Damien was nice enough to cook us dinner brought about a quick panic. But the final safety scare was Damien putting in full throttle with the slime line with Diego and I on the dock.
