Lovdly sunny day but a lack of wind until the last part ..running up the estuary to the club

Some deck light maintenance before leaving a much calmer Ramsgate to round North Foreland and across the Thames Estuary to Bradwell.. our course took us alongvthecshoreline before heading out of sight of land to negotiate the windfarms and make the best of the tide. slowed for something to eat and took turns getting our heads down for a nap. Had to wait for sufficient water in the marina so tied up about 23.00..celebratory beer and bed..deliver complete

11.30 departure Dover to catch tide up to Ramsgate. Forecast F4...but got up to F6 with lump seas, lots of spray. Made into Ramsgate..very small ppntoons..short..with wi d in wrong direction as usual..bow thrusters are looking like a good idea

Train and bus to Havant and Hayling Island Yacht Company to meet up with Jeff. Boarded Moonshadow 16.00 and that night took her out into Emsworth Channel. 04.00 set off for Newhaven with the tide. Very little wind SW but made good time on engine...tied up Newhaven for the night
