14 to 16 kn all day. Great Sail we had 2/3 of the jib out and full main. Started seeing 18 and 20 kn, but still totally under control. Coming in we had a cell pass over us dropping cold air and 30 kt winds. We had to pull nose into the slip until the winds died down enough to take it out and turn it around. Jim got a puncture wound on his left calf. After we turned it around I was able to get the cushions and the solar panel back on.

Just a quick day sale after I got my reefing line on. I didn’t put the main up. It was only blowing nine or 10 in Wharton Creek but once you cleared this southern spit the wind out of the south was pretty much 16 to 18. Started having trouble with the engine cutting off at low RPMs, so it’s time to throw a fuel filter change into my plans. I’m not sure there could be more crab pots out there. Also a big stink forNavionics. Seems like when I slow down enough and tack to start back on my original track it can’t find me or my speed. We’ve had this problem before and we certainly had it on the way up to Maine. Really sucks when you’re trying to drop your sales and then go into Barnet Inlet. I only saw one other Sailboat. He was heading north. Other than that. It was just barge traffic. Hopefully, I’ll get to tryout my reefed main tomorrow.

We left Deep Water/Cow Yard and made it about 40 minutes when the engine overheated. We had an air lock. Boat Us came out after we sent a security. Dropped the anchor in 60’ and took care of business.
