Difficult crossing; wind 24kts and sea choppy; crew (not John) lacked experience and were tired from the weekend and seasick. Dog distressed. Decided to moor up at Town rather than press on to Beaucette.

This was an easy trip as the wind was light and the sea flat. We just motored. Tied up to GBA mooring buoy at Greve de la Ville

Set off from Beaucette at 8; went into town to get extra life jacket, coffee and bacon butties. Put the the new sail up!! Set off, there was a crash between two of the racers, I think we might have been disqualified for being on the wrong side of the start line. Anyway, we made east to lower heads and Sark following the tide as the wind was very light 4kts from the south. We made 18mi and we were probably 10th before we retired from lack of wind. Motored rest of way. Nice day.

We started on time which was good; some of the crew were a bit hungover. We had a following wind and managed 5 hours of sailing until we had to start the motor and motor in. Gave Nick a chance at the helm. Wind from E/SE F3/2

We set off on good time; there was more wind at first. We sailed well considering the tiny Genoa we had. Eventually we had to start the motor to get in and we pulled up fine.

We set off late as the coffee was low and everyone was tired and hungover. We needed to get over the tide to get anywhere, but we ended up betided at lower heads and I decided to turn on the motor so as to get over the sill at Carteret. All went well until we got to the marina at Carteret, when I struggled to get the boat into its berth. Otherwise a lovely trip.
