I have sailed since I was at school. Initially I sailed in monohull dinghy’s before moving on to catamarans. I was a member of the British Olympic sailing squad between 1979 and 1984. I served a navigating officer cadet ship in the British Merchant Navy and then served as as Second Mate (navigating officer). I hold a RYA Ocean Yachtmaster (commercially endorsed) qualification. I have owned various boats including a Rival 41 which I sailed on the west coast of Scotland with family for crew.
