motor-sailed upriver against a 3knot current and cruised back down to the inner harbor. solo trip

Sailed out of Homer harbor at 12:30 pm and set a direct course for Halibut Cove. wind was intermittent and on the nose. Tied off to the transient dock by the coffee shop and spent a short time there before sailing off the dock and out of the cove. SE wind on the way back. Gybed once to line up with Homer harbor entrance,then dropped sail and motored to slip.

Finished 3rd. A length behind the second place boat.

Finished a close 3rd out of 4 boats. Started at 1:30pm and crossed the finish line at 5:37pm aboard SV Pegasus with Skipper Craig Forrest. Owner of the boat Johann,and crew Dave.
