Sailed round west of Cumbrae, sailed onto anchor, some sailing drills, sailed onto a mooring off Largs then back to the marina.

Bit of berthing. Round trip of Cumbrae, with some anchoring mixed in. After that, some night navigation and back to Largs.

MOB practice and some berthing. Relatively early finish to get some rest before exam.

Decent wind in the morning then it dropped off a bit until it was basically flat calm for the journey back. Picked up a little as we got closer to Largs. Sailing onto anchor in the morning, lunch north of Cumbrae then up to Burnt islands for dinner. Way home was some blind nav and entering marinas. Long day but good to get out after being storm bound yesterday.

Fairly strong winds with rain. Gusts of 30 initially then gusts of 45 as we headed in. Mostly sailing skills practice, picking up fender and bucket under sail, mooring under sail. Had lunch on a mooring off Fairlie.

Decent wind, started south, veered to SW. Timed the tides right so shot along to Brixham.

Decent wind down the Irish coast, but more SE than forecasted. Pretty miserable punching into the wind/sea once round Land’s End. Into Falmouth for fuel and a breather.

Basically a millpond most of the way. Got a bit of sailing done south of Ballyhalbert towards Dublin. Shortly after we started sailing we lost power as the DC-DC charger wasn’t working. The electrical system is a bit odd in that the alternator charges the engine starter battery which in turn charges the house bank. We got the DC-DC charger working again just in time for getting into Dublin Bay as it went dark.
