Wind right on the nose for the first two hours made a slow start, but timed currents correctly and got through easily. Beautiful day, fun to see boats dressed up for Pride when leaving the city.

Left Norfolk around 7:30 for a 48 NM sail up the Chesapeake. Winds started light but keep going up through the day. Had about 15 to 18 from the West. Temperatures were in the high 70s.
