Cruising and racing the waters of Salem Sound and beyond…

Left at dawn and motor sailed back to Marblehead Bell. Saw several whale spouts and tails along the way . Saw 2 large whales swimming on the surface off Tinkers a ways out. Junior Race Week was going on around the mouth of the harbor.

Truly outstanding father / son sail ! Wind avg about 15 knots . Beautiful reach down the Marblehead channel to the mouth of Marblehead harbor then tacked through the channel back to Salem Harbor . Wind was gusting 20 tacking off Naugus then settled in at 12 for fairway and mooring field cruising before heading in .
