Heavy northwest winds to start - wing on winged by Naugus it up to the south channel . Went full rig on starboard in broad reach until past Tinkers Island then reefed . Sailed down the Graves Light . Not as heavy on way back .

True wind about 180 to start. Heavy and gusty especially coming out of the lee of Castle. Had first reef in main and #1 jib unfurled to about mast. Good, fast sail with SOG over 7 at times

Light air but some pressure out near Spectacle. Crew weight to leeward. Flying the # 1 like a 120 or something? Cars mid track and inners high middle low all breaking evenly. Outer middle seemed to break up when all others streaming . No track adjustment or halyard tension adjustment made. Wind was out of the west to start but clocked more north I think later .

Heavier air and white caps , some sea state - went reefed and helm very balanced - minimal easing even in puffs , beam reaching about 5.3 ish SOG . Wind perfect angle (180 ish) for a reach up to misery and back.

Phenomenal upwind leg ! Lots of jib trimming to get inner and outer upper lower and middle tails flying . Significant secondary adjustments to cars , backstay , halyard needed

headsail trimmer gymnastics: upside down on the leeward rail monitoring the tell tales and trimming the entire race
