Good sail with a F5-6 behind us. Brightling Harbour Authority have been fantastic and local butcher delivered 9 BBQ servings for us. Absolutley brilliant.

No chance of sailing in WSW4-6, but a pleasant run in sunny weather anyway.

Then an easy motor-sail in SW2-4, finishing on a buoy at Queenborough.

Delayed departure from Gillingham Marina because tide was too high - I've never known that before in more than 15 years.

Final passage of the WOA Summer Cruise 2024, starting with a parade of five Westerlies through Tower Bridge. Mostly motoring with very little wind, occasional boosts when wind increased, but strong tide in our favour all the way.

Managed to sail out of the Swale and Medway but gave up in face of W3-4 as course became West.

Genoa run in SW3.

The genoa went up, but SSW2 was not enough to make a difference.

Smooth sea and almost no wind, finishing the day with a beautiful evening in Queenborough.

Sails up in the Orwell, motor off outside Harwich Harbour. Tacking into a SW3-4 for a couple of hours, then motor-sailed into the Colne.
