Night time passage to return to Gillingham before the bad weather arrives. No dramas during the passage motor sailing all the way with a fair bit of wind and tide against us.

Good sail with a F5-6 behind us. Brightling Harbour Authority have been fantastic and local butcher delivered 9 BBQ servings for us. Absolutley brilliant.

Bradwell Waterside to Brightlingsea, United Kingdom
Blustery with occasional rain ahowers, otherwise an uneventful but pleasant sail.

Good weather with wind on the bow and so motored moat of the way. Good to see Radio Caroline on the way and now at a beautiful place.

Derek Hathaway - Blue skies! Not much of that out west - I must head east before the end of the season.

Crewing in Whistler a Westerly Fulmar. Very choppy sea all the way with winds F4-5 from the SE allowing some sailing under reef.

Long Reach to Brightlingsea, United Kingdom
Departed Lymington at 0500. Weather calm with little wind but managed to achieve 8.2kts with the tidal stream. Sangelai now secure in her new home port Chichester Marina.

Dense fog for the last 4 hrs, less than 40 metres visibility. Electronic Chart and AIS were immensely useful. Called Poole Harbour (VTS) on VHF before entering harbour. No movements reported and received clearance to enter. Near miss with the chain ferry who chose not to wait for us to pass knowing that we couldn't see them but they could see us on AIS.
