Nice sailing all day , but in evening the wind pick up to 25 + kt , lots gusts 35 ++

We set off from Cienfuegos a week earlier than planned as the forecast showed a period of zero wind for 10 days and we did not and could not motor to Jamaica. So with a forecast of 2 days of fair winds we set off …… we got a lot of winds , this passage was sporty with 2 deep reef in the main and stay sail , we got squall, thunder storms and loads of rain . Quite a first heavy passage for my youngest daughter Marlene aka Miss Chillax . She stepped up and did her own watches solo #proudpapi None of weather models showed this forecast- all were below 20 kt, we got 25-30 kts from 15 hrs into the passage until Jamaica
