Sustained 18-20 kts made it for an awesome race. We put in two reefs and had Tafa’i kicking it.

A bit windy but the kids had a blast.

Wednesday put in a very respectful showing on the first race of the BHSC Mid Summer Series.

Had some of the grandkids out on the pontoon boat at UT’s Lakehouse

First race of the Mid Summer series. Had the legend Tom Lewin aboard given us countless pointers and race knowledge! Amazing what we learn from him. Flew a whisker pole, first time by Billy “the pole” B. Job well done.

Fun race with BHSC, good wind and suppose to be a fun quick course. The last third turned scary and hectic as a pretty violent weather cell met us. We broached and two crew went overboard. MOB real deal in a confused sea state with strong sustained winds. Story ends well, all returned safe but lasting thoughts and feelings imbedded into our brains.
