St Peter Port to Pompey

Set off in a southerly F3 and making real progress by the time we hit the race conditions had strengthened to a 4 and saw some good speed. Pipedreamer really delivered and put a smile on everyone’s face as the realisation of what we’ve now have. Sadly wind died and the donkey was on but still impressive speeds we like our new boat! We also encountered some Tuna feeding which was a real treat 👍

Braye to Pompey

Early start and wind was already blowing westerly 5 and a bit overcast set sail from inside the harbour. After a couple of hours the sun joined us which made for a very pleasant sail. The wind gods were very kind to us and managed to sail all the way to #4 PHM epic!

St Helier to Carteret

Keen to break out of Jersey having been stuck for 4 days conditions were very calm and no wind so a simple drive across to France. A bit of drizzle but thankfully the sun came out as we moored up 👍

St Helier and back

Conditions started off quite nice SW4 then things got a little more spicy so 2nd reef. Then came the rain along with a squal decided we didn’t fancy 40nm so turned around

Ian Willcock - I use to apply the same concept to winter mountaineering, if the weather turns narly go down. The mountain isn’t going anywhere you can always climb it another day

Beautiful conditions for catching a tan wind however not so strong a light NW’ly which with a little tacking got us up to Cap de la Hague

Gosport to Cherbourg

Early start at 0500 started off with a good NW’ly and made good passage for 5 hours until it vanished. Donkey on for a few hours got us past the shipping nicely though. Then breeze came back from the west so back sailing again. It of course died again a couple of hours later. A fun day!
