My first exposure to boating was on the USS George Washington. I served for a couple years (1998/99) and attained the Officer of the Deck (Underway) qualification while there. I also sailed on the USS Harry S. Truman after it was first commissioned during that time. Now after 25 years, Iβm starting to get back into it with catamarans and wondering why I didnβt pursue this passion sooner.
