Strait of Juan de Fuca, Canada to Seal Beach, United States
We left Sidney BC Canada under sunny sky and no wind at 5pm. I started my tracker late. Did our check in into US in Port Angeles, WA. Continued on after a quicker than normal check in via the app with US Customs. I think it was less than 30mins to get the thumbs up. We made our way around the rocks and headed down the coast around 0630 Wednesday AM. Fairly smooth sailing down the coast dodging the occasional crab traps. We saw several very large Mula Mula basking in the sun on the surface. Roger had never seen one before. lol. We pulled into Westport Marina around 1700 Wednesday evening to wait out a weather system which had winds blowing mid to high 20’s and up to mid 30’s. Westport had a two restaurants and a wine bar open in the Marina. We were able to take the bus into town to do our provisioning for the balance of the trip.
