I am now certified and proficient as skipper on both monohull and catamaran sailing vessels up to 65ft. currently hold a Med Sailing Lic. and have captained chartered boats in Med, Pacific, Sea of Cortez and Caribbean oceans. Winds were light mostly with occasional offshore blows of up to 18kts. But pro dominantly light to no wind. Motored all but 2hrs of the trip. We had an overnight stay in Dana Point, then off the dock at 0430 to finish out the run to Channel Islands Marina. Good trip overall with only minor issues with the boat.

Lite winds made for challenging conditions, race was shortened to 3 marks and finish buoy. We caught kelp on the last leg which took us from 2nd to 5th.

Panama Canal crossing on Zeahorse, a Sunreef 80 Eco Electric catamaran. Kiran and I volunteered as crew and line handlers for their crossing from Atlantic side the Pacific. Overnight two day crossing. Conditions varied from pouring rain to hot and sunny the second day from wake up until we finished the last lock and headed to Marina La Playita in Panama City. Then it poured again.
