Sailing on and off for 40 something years, member of RANSA, Saltwater Veterans.
Up anchor at 0800 underway from Considine bay NW side of Nth Keppel Is. Forecast SSE turning E 10 to 15kts, wind pretty much remained SSE at 15, very comfortable with 2 reefs in the main whilst flying the gennaker. Dropped anchor a mile Sth of Pt Clinton south head a little wind burn, thinking will have to find my buff to prevent the windburn ☺️ Nil breakages or lost kit resulting in another good day sailing.

The Keppels to Coastal Waters Of Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Dropped marina berthing lines 2 hrs before low tide, had 0.4mt under keel until turning towards the marina break walls where upon KiaEa stopped on the Sandy bottom, managed to reverse off the sand bar and move to marina berth Red 54 and informed the marina which is where we sat for 4.5 hours waiting for the incoming tide for more water to get out of the marina basin. This extra few hours at the marina allowed the Admiral to collect parcels that arrived earlier this day which was done 😁. After departing the marina it was a headwind that greeted us sailing back out the 11nm back to the west side of North Keppel Is. arriving and dropping the anchor before dark.

Rosslyn to The Keppels, Australia
Motor against wind and tide from anchored off Svensons beach to move south around west side of Great Keppel Is to anchor Fisherman’s beach. Wind has been consistent 15 gusting to 20kts SE which allowed for two days of or 2.5 hrs in total of wing foil boarding. First flight experienced, up on foil followed shortly thereafter by crashing back down into the water when board becomes quite squirrelly under foot. Whilst climbing/rolling back into the dinghy not unlike an untrained overweight seal at the end of the session, I caught he edge of my impact vest on edge of middle seat ripping the pvc seat apart along its entire cornered length which in turn has now compromised the dinghy structural stability, bugger! New job added to work list, repair or make new dinghy seats. Ahhh boating, yep, ya gotta love it.
