Limited sailing experience when we purchased our boat. Bought ‘Boujee’ ( Privilege 42) with husband Phil in May 2024 sailed her from Yamba to Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast and then down to Melbourne in December 2024. Prior to this, crewed on charter boats in Sydney (Lightwave 36), Thailand and Croatia (Lagoon 48) and sailed and crewed on a friends Privilege 48 up the east coast of Australia and in New Caledonia.

Spent a night anchored right down the end of the inlet in about 8m water…good holding. Was quite rolly throughout the night with SE swell travelling down the narrow inlet and bouncing around off the walls.

Nice sail from Long Island to Coral Sea Marine at Airlie. Picked up a friends mooring out side the coral Sea Marina. Good public boat ramp and dinghy dock inside the marine. It says max stay for tenders is 2 hrs but no problem leaving tender there longer…some looked like they had been there for days if not weeks. Also a floating dock with 2-3berths for a 2hr stay for bigger boats to fill with water or provision. Boats seemed to coming and going here fairly regularly with it rare for someone to overstay unless overnight. The Ocean Club is a floating Pavillion within the marina with ensuites, laundry facilities, tea/coffee lounge and work area. I believe there is a fee per day for use of this facility.
