Calm at the docks but gusty upwind and beamy downwind. Had to emergency take down kite without waiting to raise the jib because it flapped so hard (skipper was afraid it would rip). Switched to the reacher on the next downwind and that was a solid choice. Wished we used the #3 jib instead and #1- hindsight!

Only 3 on crew and we still did spin. Good sets and the dirty set went pretty well. I have to hoist faster next time (but no rope burn this time👊)!

Beautiful sail. Nice and flat. Great start in light wind. Started on rose’ before the first mark! 🤣

Shifty wind again but it was a beautiful day once the clouds burned off. First race- didn’t hoist the main all the way up 🤦🏻‍♀️ but actually sailed better than the 2nd race (hoisted properly). DFL but Laurie rocked the start (within the first 3 to cross each time 👊)

First race as skipper! Good practice for next time and some learnings re EYC starts and a wider than expected tacking angle. Crew was lovely and got into a groove quick despite not sailing together before.

Perfect wind for Sashay. Came in 4th.

Leisure sail to bay bridge. Not enough wind and strong flood prevented us from going further.

Only 3 crew (Dawn , Tamar and me)so didn’t fly spin in 1st downwind. Tried for the 2nd downwind but had to take down spin bc it was rigged wrong 😩

GUSTY! 8-10 with 12 gusts. Went up to 5 knots downwind! A bit too sporty for our maiden sail sans Mark or Dawn but we figured it out and returned to dock intact. Oh and it was fun! 🤩
